What you’ll do on a typical day. - Ensure that collection activities (customer interactions and collection call volume standards) are performed on all accounts with a past due Accounts Receivable (AR) balance
- Drive performance metrics, such as Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) Aging accounts and bad debt percentage
- Establish relationships with business partners in sales, onboarding, corrections, credit and billing to drive strategic performance metrics
- Partner in the development of the collection system strategy that includes the delivery of strategic and operational processes and system processes
- Analyze data to make recommendations on forecasting budgets, service measurements and staffing needs
- Drive improvements in collection system strategy including changes in operational, SOPs and training.
- Participate in planning and estimate cycles for setting goals for the collection’s organization based on fluctuations in the economic environment.
- Collaborate with team on accounts to proactively identify areas of potential risk to mitigate escalations.
- Effectively communicate updates to senior management on accounts status/challenges and collection strategy of collections by team, in addition to individual risks within the portfolio of accounts.
- Understand and practice the requirements of the SOX and Internal Controls for the department with the ability to identify deficiencies in the requirements and support procedure changes to mitigate risk.
