Responsible for the management of the Trade Accounts Receivable portfolio to include management of assigned customer accounts in the determination of customer credit limits and risk assessment, the collection of Trade Accounts Receivable balances, and approval of all new customer orders.
Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field with an accounting or finance background
Ten or more years of experience in the credit field, preferably in the steel industry
Experience working with a variety of standard credit concepts, practices and procedures
Experience working with outside attorneys on contract and collection issues
Experience working with credit insurance providers and insurance brokers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of commercial credit and collection laws
Proven collection, analytical and negotiating skills
