The Corporate division encompasses the core operational support for all Land O'Lakes businesses. It includes Corporate Strategy, Corporate Communications, Land O'Lakes Foundation and Community Relations, Finance, Law, Member Relations, Facilities, Event Strategy, Security, Human Resources, Information Technology, Corporate Marketing and Government Relations.
The Sr. Credit & Collections Representative is responsible for managing the risk and receivables of an assigned portfolio of customers. Duties involve determining credit worthiness of new and existing customers within assigned authority level. The Representative sets and enforces the appropriate credit limits by reviewing credit applications and references, analyzing the customer's financial statements, and utilizing credit reports. The Representative provides quality customer service and account management which includes making collection calls, assisting the customer and internal staff in researching and resolving accounts receivable inquires. The Representative will be responsible to cross-sell services such as delivery of invoice and payment methods.
Required Experience & Education
High School Diploma along with 3+ years of relevant work experience in credit, customer service, collections & account reconciliation.
Must be able to demonstrate basic accounting knowledge along with strong telephone and software skills, required.
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote)
Effective interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written), and ability to work collaboratively on a team with solid critical thinking skills, strong organization and prioritization skills
Must be comfortable working with customers both external and internal which includes working with all levels of management. Heavy phone and email contact
Preferred Competencies (optional)
Report creation skills, ability to deliver effective presentations in person and through WebEx & knowledge of credit processes and credit law.
